Schwanensee in Sneakers

The solo performance "Schwanensee in Sneakers" opens our eyes to the multiple forms of dance and the power of transformation inherent in every body. The dance performance is an enjoyable and creative transfer of knowledge for young people, passing on different perspectives on dance and movement. What is dance? What can dance be? Which bodies dance? Dancer Anna Till moves in a crossover of styles that change from the everyday to the grotesque, from the classical to the experimental. Historical movement material meets contemporary form. Is waiting for the bus actually also dance?

"Schwanensee in Sneakers" is a production of explore dance - Netzwerk für junges Publikum, a cooperation between fabrik moves Potsdam, Fokus Tanz | Tanz und Schule e.V. München and K3 | Tanzplan Hamburg, HELLERAU - Europäisches Zentrum der Künste. It is supported by TANZPAKT Stadt-Land-Bund with funds from die Beauftragte der Bundesregierung für Kultur und Medien, the Behörde für Kultur und Medien der Freien und Hansestadt Hamburg, the Kulturreferat der Landeshauptstadt München and the Bayerischer Landesverband für zeitgenössischen Tanz with funding of the Bayerisches Staatsministerium für Unterricht und Kultus, the Landeshauptstadt Potsdam and the Ministerium für Wissenschaft, Forschung und Kultur des Landes Brandenburg.
From July 2022, the second phase of the project will also be funded by Sächsisches Staatsministerium für Wissenschaft und Kunst and Landeshauptstadt Dresden.
"Schwanensee in Sneakers" was created in cooperation with situation productions and HELLERAU - Europäisches Zentrum der Künste.
